Photo of the Day – Canada Goose Feather

This Canada Goose Feather was just too interesting a photograph to pass up not taking. It seems to have fallen just right in the grass, as if it wanted it’s photo to be taken. I really like the softness of it compared to the contrasting grass.

Swimming around happily, these white ducks seem to not have a care in the world, except if their picture is going to be taken again. Yes, these are the same silly ducks from a few days ago. This photo was taken after they had all waddled into the water. Are they posing?

This lovely bird, the Wood Thrush, shown here in its infant stage, was of a curiosity to me as they typically do not grace us with their presence in October, when this photograph was taken. They generally don’t appear until the Summer time here in South Western Ontario. A nice surprise, nonetheless!
