Winter Tracks

I have always loved the sound of the train whistle and often hear it off in the distance from this particular track. I have also wanted to take a photograph like this and never really had the chance. Today was perfect with the snow along the tracks. Just a few minutes after this, a train came rolling down.

2012 Photo Challenge – Snow Speckled

Snow Speckled by Corinne Elizabeth Cowherd

Snow Speckled

Being a mild Winter, there has only be a few days where there has been snow that has stayed. I love the snow, so that has been nice. However, for the most part, it has been really damp. The snow that has stayed today, after a snowfall, is in little tiny, seed-like form and is very sparse.

Snow Gazebo in HDR

Once again, I’m having fun with HDR photography! This image was taken at my grandmother’s retirement building. They have some many wonderful outdoor things for the residents to enjoy there. Gardens, bird houses, walking paths, etc. etc. Almost like a park. In this photo, a lovely gazebo sits amoung some snow while also topped with it, making for a pretty image in HDR.
