This beauty of a butterfly was really friendly and allowed me to snap his photo a number of times. Here, while drinking some nectar, he opens up his wings for all the world to see.

This beauty of a butterfly was drinking nectar along the trails of Glen Morris, Ontario and loved to show off his wings.
From Central and South America, this pretty little butterfly named the Tarricina was one of my favourites of the day with it’s lovely copper and black wings. It hung out on this leaf for the longest time, taking in it’s surroundings.

Found in Central and South America, these little guys were very fast and didn’t like their photo being taken. I was so happy when I captured this one! I love the contrast with the red, yellow, and black in his wings. They almost clash with the pink flower this guy is sitting on, but look so pretty at the same time.
