Snow melts atop a cute Church Birdhouse as the blue sky above looks down.

Snuggle up into a warm heating blanket on those cold Winter days and nights.
As any Canadian knows, Winter is very dry… usually and hand lotion is a welcome relief to dry hands.
I like doing something unique with photos every once in a while and I thought I would get a little creative with this photograph. I made a boring photo of a plant into something interesting. So, even though greenery is nice to look at during gloomy Winter days, blue greenery can also make for something to admire. Is it still, then, technically called “greenery”?
Along the same line as yesterday’s photo, showing that we have been having a relatively mild winter with lots of rain. We haven’t seen the sun since this past weekend and the backyard looks rather gloomy.
Being a mild Winter, there has only be a few days where there has been snow that has stayed. I love the snow, so that has been nice. However, for the most part, it has been really damp. The snow that has stayed today, after a snowfall, is in little tiny, seed-like form and is very sparse.
Once again, I’m having fun with HDR photography! This image was taken at my grandmother’s retirement building. They have some many wonderful outdoor things for the residents to enjoy there. Gardens, bird houses, walking paths, etc. etc. Almost like a park. In this photo, a lovely gazebo sits amoung some snow while also topped with it, making for a pretty image in HDR.
It’s that early time of the year when we get our Christmas credit cards bills. Dust off that calculator and crunch those dreaded numbers.
When taking photographs and the same is true in life, don’t forget to look up. You never know what amazing and cool thing you might see.
A cat leaves his paw prints in the snow after exploring the backyard.

Have a golden day!
The long shadow of a tree casts itself on the snow at high noon.
Mohawk Park in Brantford, Ontario is a wonderful place for photographs. The park benches covered in snow were of particular interest to me. The two photos here are of some of those benches. The first bench looks down towards Mohawk Lake and the second set of benches are in front of the splash pad area of Mohawk Park.
Have a golden day!
Snow covers the roofs of a neighbourhood as the blue sky above only shows a few clouds. Perhaps more snow is on the way.
Nothing quite like a nice, comfy pair of blue jeans to relax in.
I had mentioned in a previous post that I am having fun creating HDR photographs. Well, I am also having fun creating Sepia photos. Although, not as complex to create as HDR with today’s software programs (although HDR is easier to create now, too), Sepia photos can made some photographs look really quite striking. It can also be more forgiving with what you might consider slight flaws in your colour photograph. Black and White can be like that, too! With many software programs you can also add “fade” and/or “glow” effects to your Sepia photos and “noise” to make the image look old, or just plain cool. Some of the newer digital cameras also come with a Sepia effect already built in. I prefer to take the photos in colour first, then transform them after.
Anyway, there are also some photographs, at least from what I have found, that just scream to be made into Sepia and/or you know would look pretty amazing in Sepia. Below are just a few examples of some of those photographs that I had taken recently at Mohawk Park in Brantford, Ontario. The trees there were such great subjects to snap images of! Like I said, I first took these in colour, then transformed them into what you see below.
Some pretty blue hibiscus flowers adorn a silk scarf with fuchsia and black accents.
This scarf was given to me from my grandmother along with a number of others. It is one of my favourites, if not my most favourite, of the collection.
The trails in Glen Morris, Ontario proved to be an interesting place to visit this past October, especially when we discovered this old building that is now in ruins. It once was the German’s Woolen Mill and it rests along the shore of the Grand River. It certainly makes for some nice photographs that intrigue and enchant the imagination. I have created some HDR (High Dynamic Range) photographs of some of the original images I took. I think they make the building look even more creepy and cool than it already was! Enjoy!
Have a golden day!
Within a collection of many fishing floats, this blue one is a stand out with it’s lovely, soft hue.
