Photo of the Day – Painted Leaves of Autumn

Painted Leaves of Autumn by Corinne Elizabeth Cowherd

Painted Leaves of Autumn by Corinne Elizabeth Cowherd

I took this photograph while on a nature hike along the trails of Apps Mill. The leaves were all afire of colour with pretty oranges, yellows, and reds as well as some green that was still yet to turn. What made the day even better was the blue sky. This is just one of many of the photographs that I took that day, but this one particularly caught my eye because of the different layers and variety of colours.

  1. Lovely colours. You have captured the season beautifully here. The picture is all the more interesting as Autumn seems like a distant memory here in the UK

    • Thank you, so much for the compliments! Yes, Autumn is a distant memory here in Canada, too. Well, at least the part I am in. In fact, it’s almost Spring-like here as I am listening to a Robin sing! The snow is almost completely melted, as well. Can’t wait to get some photos of the Spring flowers! (-:
